How to install fonts in Windows?
- Go to Windows Fonts folder e.g. C:WindowsFonts. (The path may differ on some computers.)
- Copy-paste the font file into this folder.
- Windows will now install the font file.
- Once installed the font will be available in your text-based applications.

Unicode fonts in Windows
Windows comes with several in-built fonts.

- The default font for Hindi in MS Word is Mangal. I personally prefer the Arial Unicode MS font since it displays half characters in a better way than Mangal. Aparajita is another good font in MS Word for Hindi. There are some others too like Utsaha but I'm not very fond of those.
Microsoft Sans Serif font is a very legible User Interface (UI) font. It was designed to be metrically compatible with the MS Sans bitmap font that shipped in early versions of Microsoft Windows.
